CHAD Wingard’s freakish third quarter snap in Balfours Showdown XXXVI has earned a Goal of the Year nomination.

Wingard is joined by Carlton’s Bryce Gibbs and Richmond’s Brandon Ellis as this Round’s Hungry Jack’s Goal of the Year nominees.

The hero of Showdown XXXV, Wingard again shone in Showdown XXXVI – the first at Adelaide Oval – booting four goals, including three in the second half.

But it was his third goal that sent the crowd into a frenzy and also earned him the number one play of the week on AFL.com.au’s weekly segment – The 10.

Wingard's nomination follows Jay Schulz's nomination for Mark of the Year in Round 1.

The only way Wingard can win Goal of the Year is by you voting – so make sure you vote for Chad here.
