ROBBIE Gray has finished 9th overall in the 2016 Brownlow Medal, polling 19 votes; behind winner Patrick Dangerfield on 35 votes.

Gray started strongly with two best-afield performances in the first three rounds, before a quiet spell and three weeks out with injury put the three-time John Cahill Medalist back in the field.

He went on to poll in seven games, including two more best-on-grounds in Round 17 (v North Melbourne) and Round 23 (v Gold Coast). It was Gray's highest finish and highest number of votes polled.

Ollie Wines was the Power's second highest vote-getter with 11 votes, finishing in 28th overall.

Wines stormed home to finish second in the 2016 John Cahill Medal and his Brownlow form reflected this - polling three votes in Round 19 (v Brisbane), two in Round 22 (v Adelaide) and two in Round 23 (v Gold Coast).

Four Power players polled their first ever Brownlow Medal votes.

Jackson Trengove polled his first votes in his 119th game - a best-on-ground effort against Brisbane - while Jasper Pittard polled his first vote in game 79.

Aaron Young and Jarman Impey also polled their first votes - both in the Round 11 win over Collingwood.
