PADDY RYDER and Angus Monfries are free to return to Alberton to train, and Ryder celebrated it at 12.00am on Wednesday morning – the precise moment his curfew expired.

But training is all the duo is allowed to do.

Their eligibility to return is only a partial lifting of the ban that saw them suspended for the entire 2016 season after being found guilty by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, along with 32 other past and present Essendon players.

They can use Port Adelaide’s training facilities – including its aerobic ‘sweatbox’, gym and playing field to train.

However the Power cannot utilise the pair for any promotional, marketing, media or other non-training related purposes until 12.00am on November 14.

Still, we’re as pumped as Ryder about his return to the club.

We just wouldn’t have come to work at 12.00am…
