Clubland

Both clubs have made three changes, but the Power’s are of particular note. This will be the first game for Riley Bonner and Will Snelling – the West Adelaide duo drafted by Port prior to this season. Blooding (pardon the pun) this duo will expose them to a new level of footy.

Perfect conditions

After two waterlogged encounters at Metricon in the last two years, Port is blessed with conditions worthy of a Gold Coast tourism advertisement – 21 and mostly sunny.

With a touch of humidity, it will be the last test of the Power’s fitness for this season.

Schulzy's final game for Port Adelaide

His 123rd game in the vees will be his last. With Jay Schulz and the Power parting ways at the end of 2016, the opportunity for the forward to play his final game will give the Power inspiration to give him a worthy send-off.

Showdown at Sundown

Port and Gold Coast have been disappointing this year, and both clubs will be out to finish on a high. For Power fans, the opportunity to see those young players given a go this year one last time – Byrne-Jones, Austin, Palmer, Snelling and Bonner - will be a glimpse into the future.

Final Word

Last game. Needs to end on a high point.
