portadelaidefc.com.au takes a look at who’s in the mix to play in the Gold Coast Suns clash at Metricon Stadium this Saturday.

Port Adelaide

Could we see another debutant enter the Power’s side this week?

Defender Riley Bonner was tipped to make an appearance in the Showdown XLI, but wasn’t named in the final side.

Given Ken Hinkley pointed to Bonner when discussing blooding young talent before season’s end, this week’s clash with the Suns may well be his chance at AFL level.

Young defender Logan Austin will also be available for selection this week after being sidelined with a groin niggle in Round 22.

Meanwhile Tom Jonas (hamstring) and Charlie Dixon (ankle) will be assessed this week – both are a chance to play in the Power’s final game of 2016.

Gold Coast

Gold Coast face two changes to their Round 22 side, with defenders Jarrod Harbrow and former Port Adelaide SANFL player Sean Lemmens ruled out through injury.

The Suns’ website pointed to three standout performers in the reserves last week, naming Seb Tape, Jesse Joyce and Tom Keough as possible inclusions in their backline.

After being omitted last week, Josh Schoenfeld and Mitch Hallahan could also be given another chance at the AFL level following their Round 22 loss to Collingwood.
