PORT ADELAIDE will be forced into at least two changes to its side to face Geelong on Friday night.

Hamstring injuries to captain Connor Rozee and defender Lachie Jones will see the duo miss the trip to Kardinia Park.

There is better news for key back Aliir Aliir who is expected to clear concussion protocols on Wednesday to make him available for selection.

Forward Jeremy Finlayson also put his hand up with a dominant showing in the SANFL. In his first game following a three-game suspension, Finlayson booted 4.2 and took a game-high eight marks.

As well as being lively in the forward line, the 28 year-old was prominent around the ground, racking up 24 disposals, five tackles and four clearances. He also got the ball inside 50 on nine occasions – more than any other player on the ground.

In his return from a hip problem, Josh Sinn also gathered plenty of the ball off half back to give the selectors food for thought. He had six inside 50s from 29 touches and added two clearances and four tackles on a difficult day at Adelaide Oval.

Former Geelong forward Francis Evans would be keen to have his name included to tackle his old side. While he was quiet in the SANFL Showdown and removed from the action at half time as cover for the AFL team, Evans has been a consistent performer for the Magpies all season, averaging 15.5 disposals and 6.8 tackles per game and booting five goals in his four games so far this season.

Ruck Dante Visentini and defender/winger Tom Clurey were among the AFL emergencies last week, and also impressed in the SANFL.

Visentini had 28 hit-outs, two clearances and ten disposals. The 21-year-old also had four tackles and four inside 50s.

Clurey had 15 touches and six marks, continuing to showcase his versatility by dropping into defence from his starting wing position as required.

Port Adelaide will name its side to tackle the Cats on Thursday evening.

First bounce at GMHBA Stadium on Friday night is at 7:10pm AEST / 6:40pm ACST.
