PORT ADELAIDE captain Connor Rozee has passed a fitness test and will be available for Thursday’s game.

Rozee was rested in the last quarter of Friday's win over St Kilda as a precaution, with scans on Saturday showing a minor hamstring issue. The 24-year-old has since tested well and has been pain free over the last few days.

Ivan Soldo underwent a knee arthroscopy on Monday after irritating an existing meniscus injury. The ruckman is expected to be sidelined for up to five weeks while he rehabilitates.

Sam Powell-Pepper's ACL has been repaired, with the forward to miss the rest of the 2024 season. The 26-year-old is in good spirits after a successful surgery on Monday and will begin rehab in the coming weeks.

Aliir Aliir will miss the Showdown after entering concussion protocols on Friday night following a head knock. Aliir's testing has improved since the incident and the key defender could return for Round 9, provided he progresses through protocols as expected.

In good news, Ollie Lord could be playing football as early as Thursday, while Josh Sinn has passed a fitness test and will be available for selection.

Lord re-joined full training over the past week after enduring bone bruising and an impaction fracture to his leg during pre-season, but the tall forward has made big strides in his recovery.

Trent McKenzie (quad) and Tom McCallum (ankle) have all made positive progress and could return to play within the next fortnight.
